Macrame is the ancient textile craft of knot tying. It has been used to adorn camel blankets, emperor capes, sailor rum bottles, Victorian parasols and hippy spider plants. Practically anything can be wrapped in knotted rope.
In this 2 day class, you will knot your way around a glass vase. You will learn about types of macrame materials, how to measure the right amount, a couple mounting methods, a few basic knots, and the elements of good design.
The week between sessions allows time to continue knotting at home before returning to the second shorter session to finish off the bottom of the vase.
Vase and cord included in class fee.
